Capoeira Besouro is under the direction and supervision of Mestre Kinha from Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Classes are offered in various locations; Arthur Murray Movement Studio (Kailua), Boca Hawaii- Honolulu, Mana Fitness Studio (Kaneohe), University of Hawaii- Manoa, Manoa Valley District Park and prearranged private classes. Adult classes are available at basic and mixed/intermediate levels.
Kids classes are available from ages 2 to 10 years old. 10 year olds and above may attend the adult classes.
Both children and adult classes include instruction in Capoeira, Maculele- a stick fighting dance, Samba de Roda, Afro- Brazilian dance, singing, playing capoeira instruments, and basic Portuguese. Through classes and school activities, students and families make new friends and foster great bonds in the world of capoeira. |
